The North Carolina Volunteer Rescue Pilots are so very proud to work with other groups to help promote, train, and educate pilots in public safety.

North Carolina Public Safety Drone Academy – The NCPSDA trains public safety drone pilots in the State of North Carolina. For public safety agencies, the training is often at no cost through Montgomery Community College.
Riley Beaman is the leader of the NCPSDA and an exceptional champion of drones in fire, rescue, and law enforcement in the State.
Steve Rhode is the Chief Pilot of the NCPSDA and the founder of the North Carolina Volunteer Rescue Pilots to bring manned and unmanned pilots together.
At NCVRP we are exceedingly proud of the work the North Carolina Public Safety Drone Academy does and celebrate our joint efforts to push forward the use of aviation for good.
We conduct joint training and exercises to help aviators work cooperatively when called on for assistance.
