Ben Spain is the Unmanned Aircraft Systems Program Manager for the North Carolina Division of Aviation and an Air Force Senior Pilot.
A Raleigh native, he is happy to be back home after spending 12 years on Air Force active duty flying the C-130J “Super Hercules.”
Ben is also a founding pilot with the North Carolina Volunteer Rescue Pilots group.
Through his unique position with the state’s aviation agency, Ben enjoys the opportunity to work on a diverse array of aviation projects and problems, including natural disaster response.
During his time off he enjoys flying with family and friends in a 1977 Piper Lance.
